Signature of Distinction Rules

General Rules

  1. You must be a member of WOSIB to join Signatures of Distinction


  2. You will be added to two separate mailing lists when you join.
    • The first list is the main sigtags list, by which you will receive official notices, assignments, etc. You must remain on this list to be a part of SOD. If you unsubscribe without making previous arrangments with us, we will assume you are leaving the garden and you will be removed from the garden entirely.
    • The second list is for non-activity related shares. These may include graphics, tubes, jokes, extras, stats, letters, etc. Because of the nature of this list this has a tendency to be a high volume list at times. This list is optional. You may set yourself to no mail, or leave this list as you will. However, be advised if you choose not to be part of this list, you will be unable to receive or share non-tag items.

  3. This Garden is a No Drama Zone. Members causing unnecessary drama in the garden will be removed.

Assignments/Submissions

  1. ** NEW RULE ** Participation in at least one weekly activity is all that's required at least once a month, but more is encouraged


  2. ** NEW RULE ** If you are a Tagger, you may offer up any of your tags created here as a result of one of the activities for request from time to time, although it is preferable that it isn't an overly regular occurence to the point that you offer more Tags than you are participating in activities and completing your submissions. It is appreciated that this be kept in mind.


  3. ** NEW RULE ** No outside tag requests will be permitted (meaning no tags created outside of the realms of our weekly activities). These are to be specifically kept for the Monthly Tag Offer.


  4. Failure to participate for the month will result in receiving a warning. Completion of assignments the following month will void any previous warnings. However, should you receive THREE consecutive warnings you will be removed from the Garden - the third warning being removal. All warnings, credits & status will be maintained on the Submissions Status page.


  5. All activities are due promptly each month unless you are on LOA and have made previous arrangments with the Garden Heads. In the matter of Siggy Swaps, Tube n' Tag Pass etc, you must make AT LEAST THREE submissions within the week of the game.


  6. Although we are a friendly group, SOD is maintained by the participation of members. So we ask that you participate as often you as you can.


  7. All Members' status will be monitored and kept up to date on the Submissions Status page. Please ensure you check this page regularly as each member is responsible or her own status.

Tagging

  1. f you are a Tagger, you may offer up any of your tags created here as a result of one of the activities for request from time to time, although it is preferable that it isn't an overly regular occurence to the point that you offer more Tags than you are participating in activities and completing your submissions. These offers are an "extra" and for your enjoyment, and do not attract points for submissions. It is appreciated that this be kept in mind. However, if and when you place a tag for request, we ask that you follow these guidelines:

    · Adult content MUST be marked as such in the subject line - *AC* or *SAC* - as not everyone has the same tastes, or some may have little eyes watching what mummy's doing on the computer.

    · Must be tasteful AC, no pornography.

    · Please be clear in your Tag Offers with regards to rules, so as to not confuse those qho wish to request.

    · You MUST NOT use any artist who is listed as a NO-NO on our Artist Dos and Don'ts List (link located on our site). You must ensure you have a purchased license when using a Pay-to-Use artist (CILM, AMI, GILD, Stickerchick) or that you have the proper permission from those who require as such. Continual misuse of any of these artists will result in a member being moderated, which we do not like to do.


  2. Do not take another tagger's work and claim it as your own. If you offer a tag, be sure it is a tag you have made.


  3. When requesting a tag, please respect the tagger's rules and restrictions. The taggers are not obliged to make tags for you and it is only right to treat them with respect when requesting. Once you have received a tag, please be sure to thank them, be it a comment in their album or an email saying thank you.

Sharing

  1. All shares must be sent through the shares mailing list and kept off the main list. This keeps the general mail down for those on dialup, while allowing us to maintain the group we love. The shares list is optional, but please do not leave that and try to share on the main list. You may use a separate mail account for the shares list, if you so desire.


  2. All shares must be labeled in the subject line as to their content.


  3. Unrelated shares include but are not limited to: Tutorials other than the COTW, PSP stuff (masks, tubes, brushes, gradients, frames, scripts, etc.), Links to PSP stuff, Links to downloads
    4. .

  4. Unrelated shares also include fonts, blinkies, other graphics and dollz. Also stories, funnies, and jokes that aren't directly connected to a member.


  5. Anything that was requested through the group is exempt from the share rule, as is anything activity-related.


  6. We do not limit how many shares you can post in one day, but we do ask that you keep in mind the size of people's mailboxes and do not send 50 mails in one go. :) Be thoughtful when sending and if you have many to share then break them up over a span of several hours or days, in order that people can check their mail between sends.
