Cream Cheese
and
Bacon Pinwheels

Recipe submitted By:Granny Margo
Here is a sandwich with a decided difference in shape and flavor,
just right for those Super Bowl munchies.

Ingredients
~~~~~~~~~
A loaf fresh white bread; UNSLICED
[you can usually get it slice by the bakery LENGHTWISE]
Remember that the top and bottom of loaf are discarded,
[can be saved for dressing stuffing] so have six slices from loaf.
1 [8 0z.] package cream cheese
8 slices bacon
Directions
~~~~~~~~~
Remove lower crust from bread.
Cut thin lengthwise slices and trim crusts.
Spread each slice with cream cheese softened at room temperature.
The cream cheese can be any flavor of choice.
Roll up like jelly roll, cut each roll in half crosswise, and wrap a slice
of bacon around each pinwheel, securing with 2 toothpicks.
Toast pinwheels under broiler turning often to cook bacon.

Serve hot.

Makes 8 pinwheels.

Can also be served with "Hot Pepper Jelly" on the side.
This gives a bit of a zing to flavor.
