Here is one of my recipes, from my mum. Ingredients

1 1/4 cups self raising flour
2 Tbsps butter, preferably unsalted
1/4 cup golden syrup
1/3 milk
2 Tbsps butter, Extra
1/2 cup brown sugar, lightly packed
1/2 cup golden syrup, Extra
1 1/2 cups water
2 tsps grated lemon rind
Directions

Sift flour into bowl, rub in butter. Combine golden syrup & milk.
Make a well in centre of dry ingredients, gradually stir in milk
mixture.
Stir mixture until ingredients are combined thoroughly, do not over
beat. Mixture should be moist & sticky.
Make sauce by combining Extra butter, brown sugar, Extra golden
syrup, water & lemon rind in a heatproof dish, cover with a tight
fitting lid.
Microwave the sauce on full power for 6 minutes, stirring
occasionally to dissolve sugar.
With floured hands, roll the dumpling mixture into walnut sized
balls, place into boiling sauce. Cover the mixture loosely with
plastic food wrap, microwave on full power for 3 - 4 minutes or
until dumplings are well risen and firm.
Serve immediately.
