GARLIC LEMON GREEN BEANS

This side dish is an easy, healthy recipe. Serve it for a quick, wholesome
addition to lunch or dinner.
INGREDIENTS:
4 tablespoons butter
1 clove garlic, peeled and halved lengthwise
1 lb green beans, cleaned
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
PREPARATION:
In a small saucepan, melt the butter and the garlic together over very low heat.
Cook for 2 minutes, being careful to avoid browning the butter. Remove the pan
from the heat, and allow the garlic to sit in the butter for an additional 5
minutes.
Bring a large saucepan filled with 1 inch of water to boil. Lower a steamer
basket filled with the green beans into it, tightly cover the pan, and steam for
45 minutes, until the beans are crisp and tender. Drain the beans.
Remove the garlic from the butter and discard. Toss the steamed beans with the
garlic-infused butter, lemon zest, and sea salt; serve hot.
