Layer Mexican
Taco Dip
Recipe submitted By: Rose
Ingredients
~~~~~~~~
1 Large Can Refried Beans
2 medium ripe avocados
Fresh Lemon
1 pint sour cream
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 package of taco seasoning mix
Directions;
~~~~~~~~
Mix:
Mash the avocado, and mix with salt, pepper, and fresh lemon juice.
Then, in a separate bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, and taco seasoning.
Assemble:
Place refried beans in a nice serving dish (approximately 12 inch in diameter
or 9 by 13 inch). Then place the avocado mixture on top of beans.
(Be sure to spread each layer evenly.) After you do that, add the sour cream
mixture on top of the avocado mixture.
Then, after you've done that...feel free to top mixture with a layer of sliced black
olives (about 1 small can), diced fresh tomatoes (3), a few stalks of green onions
or scallions (chopped), and shredded Sharp, Cheddar, or Monterey Jack cheese
(about 1 to 2 cups).
Feel free to use a combination of shredded cheese if you wish.
What you layer is up to you. I've seen this recipe without avocadoes.
If you like food that is spicy hot, just add tobasco sauce to the mayo mixture!
Now, get out the taco or tortilla chips and start dipping!
