Mix any/all of these in a bag, place in your pack or pocket and take for
nibbling on any hike, long or small, summer or winter.

Nuts - my faves are cashews and almonds. Salted are only ok if you're
hiking where there's lots of water available.
Also they can make the chocolate salty which is a little odd.

Chocolate - from a solid block, broken up into small pieces.

Dried fruit - sultanas and/or raisins are a must, but dried apricots,
apple etc. are great too.

Anything else you like!

Ideas might include: pieces of apricot slice, gummies, crystallized orange peel,
crystallized ginger (with or without chocolate coating), and hard lollies like barley-sugar.
