Child Care
By Mandy

This month is something for older children of about 10 years or older. I'm going to be talking about helping them to write their life story book!
Get out all your non-precious photo's and buy a scrapbook... this is the start of your child's life story. Cover the scrapbook with some white paper and ask your child to think back over their life so far and illustrate it on the paper.
Now all the fun starts.
Go through the photo's with your child and sort them into roughly month and year order. Talk to your child about what they remember about the photo's and write down what they say.
Now ask them to choose a photo of the earliest they can remember and help them to stick it in the book. On the opposite page is where they write their memories using your notes as prompts if they need it.
Keep doing this on each double page until you've run out of photo's/pages
Now as more photos are taken your child can add more to their life story book and if they enjoy doing it then you can have different volumes for different ages for example, baby could be volume 1, toddler volume 2, child volume 3, teenager volume 4 and adult volume 5.
