Hello to all our WOSIB Sisters here is what's new from the Recipe Garden. We chose for our category this past month, cooking for 1 or 2 and Microwave meals..

Our newest member to join us is Laura Welcome again Laura we're happy you chose to join us.. We also had two returning members Martha and Chyrell. Welcome back Ladies we're so happy to see you back in the recipe garden..

Soft, Moist and Gooey Cinnamon Buns

Original recipe yield:
2 dozen buns
PREP TIME 15 Min
COOK TIME 20 Min
READY IN 3 Hrs 35 Min

INGREDIENTS
1 cup milk
1 egg, beaten
4 tablespoons melted butter
4 tablespoons water
1/2 (3.5 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
4 cups bread flour
1 tablespoon white sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 1/4 teaspoons bread machine yeast
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
1/4 cup raisins (optional)
1 teaspoon milk
1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
4 tablespoons butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

DIRECTIONS
In a bread machine pan, place the milk, beaten egg, melted butter, water, vanilla pudding mix, bread flour, sugar, salt and yeast in the order recommended by the manufacturer. Select the Dough cycle. When cycle is finished, remove the dough, and knead for 3 to 5 minutes. Roll out to a large rectangle. Mix together the softened butter, brown sugar and cinnamon. Spread over dough. Sprinkle with chopped walnuts a nd raisins, if desired. Starting with the widest end, roll the dough into a log. Pinch to seal seams. Cut into 1/2 inch to 1 inch slices, and place in a greased 9x13 inch pan. Place in a draft-free space, and allow to rise until doubled. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Bake for 15 to 20 minutes. To make frosting, mix the milk, confectioners sugar, softened butter and vanilla in a small bowl. Spread over warm cinnamon rolls.

1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon salt
1-1/2 cups milk
4 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup sour cream
1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Assorted fresh berries

In a saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch and salt. Gradually stir in milk until smooth. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Add a small amount to eggs; return all to pan, stirring constantly. Cook and stir for 2-1/2 minutes or until mixture reaches 160°. Remove from the heat; stir in sour cream and vanilla. Set saucepan in ice and stir mixture for 5 minutes. Cover and refrigerate until serving. Serve over berries. Yield: about 2 cups sauce. Nutrition Facts: 1 serving (2 tablespoons) equals 77 calories, 3 g fat (2 g saturated fat), 61 mg cholesterol, 68 mg sodium, 9 g carbohydrate, trace fiber, 3 g protein.

SUGAR LESS APPLESAUCE CAKE

1 c. Raisins
1 c. Diced dried fruit
2 c. Water
2 c. Flour
1 tsp. Baking soda
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Nutmeg
1 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
2 eggs
1 c. UN sweetened applesauce
2 tbsp. Liquid sweetener
3/4 c. Vegetable oil
1 tsp. Vanilla
1/2 c. Chopped nuts

Combine raisins and fruit with water. Cook uncovered until soft And water is evaporated. Cool. Combine flour, soda, salt and Spices. In bowl, combine eggs, applesauce, sweetener, oil and Vanilla. Add nuts and fruit mixture Stir into dry ingredients And blend thoroughly. Pour into greased 10-inch tube pan. Bake At 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until tests done. 125 calories per serving

Outback Blooming Onion recipe..

1/3 c Cornstarch; more if needed
1 1/2 c Flour
2 ts Garlic; mince
2 ts Paprika
1 ts Salt
1 ts Pepper
24 oz Beer
4 Sweet Vidalia Onions
2 c Flour
4 ts Paprika
2 ts Garlic powder
1/2 ts Pepper
1/4 ts Cayenne Creamy chili sauce
1 pt Mayonnaise
1 pt Sour cream
1/2 c Tomato chili sauce
1/2 ts Cayenne

Mix cornstarch, flour and seasonings until well blended. Add beer, mix well. Cut about 3/4" off top of onion and peel. Cut into onion 12 to 16 vertical wedges but do not cut through bottom root end. Remove about 1" of petals from center of onion. Dip onion in seasoned flour and remove excess by shaking. Separate petals to coat thoroughly with batter. Gently place in fryer basket and deep-fry at 375 to 400~ 1-1/2 minutes. Turn over and fry 1-1/2 minutes longer or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Place onion upright in shallow bowl and remove center core with circular cutter or apple corer. Serve hot with Creamy Chili Sauce. Seasoned Flour:
Combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, pepper and cayenne and mix well.

Creamy Chili Sauce:
Combine mayo, sour cream, chili sauce and cayenne and mix well. Source Outback Steak House, Miami, FL.
