BOO!!

Greetings from the newsletter team!

Thank you all for voting in our mini poll. There was less than 200 member votes but we did get a good understanding of what you want to see in the newsletter. So in 2007 look for an improved version of the WOSIB Newsletter each month coming to your mailbox.

October is an awareness month for a lot of great causes, last year our theme was breast cancer and so we made a BC webset. This year Tina has made this great Webset for Halloween. We do hope that you like it. Now getting back to October Awareness month, here are a few things to be aware of this month and to take part in bringing awareness to the world. TIP OF THE MONTH FROM IDGIE
I was just shown this by my Physical Therapist and it is so simple, but I had never heard of it before:

Do you feel stress in your upper back and shoulders? You know, that spot right between your shoulder blades that is so difficult to reach? Here is a very simple way to give yourself a stress reducing massage:

Drop a Tennis Ball into a sock. (Longer socks work best for more control) Toss the ball over your shoulder. Now, find a spot up against a wall or door, and lean into the tennis ball. Press your shoulders against the door/wall and ball. Move your upper body to get the ball rolling, so to speak. With the end of the sock you can move the ball from side to side, up and down, etc. You are in control of how much pressure you apply. Move the ball up to the base of your neck and right beneath your skull. Massage those pressure points. I was absolutely amazed by how well this worked! Not only does it feel good, it stimulates the area, increasing the blood flow and circulation!

Enjoy!
Love & Hugs from Idgie
