Happy November ladies! Can you believe that Christmas is already around the corner? Where has the year gone?
The Literary Garden was closed for normal submissions during October for some of us to recuperate and play catch-up. *s* But there were still the regular challenges sent out once a week by Assistant Head Linda to help keep the creative juices flowing within. So what did we get up to?

Linda started the month of with a selection of challenge words reflecting on both WOSIB and the Literary Garden, and it was interesting to see the various results from just four words within 8 lines.
The following week saw us sharing the confines of our desks with the ladies – the place where we spend our time when online/computer, and what surrounds us there. Some of us have neat and tidy alcoves while others have some form of organized mess happening. *g*
The third week was the description of colour – and all the things we associate with that colour. Some results were wonderfully refreshing and very interesting. An innovative way to view colour.
The final week saw another set of challenge words – this time in relation to TIME. But all submissions had to be four lines – quite a challenge for those of us who haven’t quite mastered the art of “short”.
These challenges continue to be a wonderful success in the Garden, prompting so much feedback and participation. And they are a lot of fun. You can read the selection of October’s Mini Challenges (as well as previous months) on the Literary website at http://www.wosib.org/literary/ under Mini Challenges, and by clicking on the corresponding month.
Don’t forget you can always pop in next month to see what we’ve been up to this month! Currently our assignments include some lovely Christmas submission for you all to enjoy, some of which will be voted on at the beginning of December.
I would like to take this time to wish each of you a safe and happy break over the holidays, and may you each return refreshed in the New Year. Wishing you all a Blessed Christmas, complete with the joy, peace and love of the season, as we take this time to share with one another and reflect on what’s important, as well as 2007. Stay safe and we hope to see you in 2008!
Until next month, Happy Reading,
Christina
