Big Sister Garden

Welcome to the Last Two Months of 2007!

It has been an amazingly fast paced year, as the Sister Gardens went through many changes. I would like to start by thanking the owners of the WOSIB, Jeri and Akaysha, for their never-ending faith and support, as the Sister Gardens Staff changed hands. It has been a labor of pure love as Cathie, Debbie and I tilled the Gardens over the past six months, only to watch her bloom with Sisterly Love.

Our hands were not the only ones to till the Sister Gardens this year, so I would like to take a moment to thank Suzanne, Becky, Linda and Aran for the love they poured into the Sister Gardens as well. It was only with the help of these six Women of Strength and Inner Beauty, could I stand proud knowing our Garden is once again blooming with the gift of Sister-Hood and love.

October found our Sisters celebrating the beauty of the changing seasons, Thanksgiving for our Canadian Sisters, and the sharing of scary stories as Halloween rolled around. Though we do not have any new Sisters to report for the month of October, we did have a great time sharing of the love and growing to know one another better as we shared of our lives.

November is now here and our American Sisters will be celebrating Thanksgiving soon. I would like to wish all of you a very Happy Thanksgiving. I pray the day will find you amongst those you love the most, as you give thanks for all you hold dear.

December will be here before we know it and, I will be passing out the names of our Sisters who have signed up for a Snail Mail Christmas. I am proud to say twenty six of our Sisters will be joining us this year, as we share of the love via snail mail. We have also added the address for Walter Reed Army Medical Center, so our Sisters can send their wishes to a recovering American Soldier.

The Sister Gardens would like to wish each of our WOSIB Sisters a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Kwanza or Winter Solstice this beautiful Holiday Season. May the true meaning of this time of year envelope your hearts, as you share with your families the gift of love and laughter.

Though the Sister Gardens will be closed to new members from November 15th until the first week of 2008, we will still be sharing of the Sisterly Love. I invite each of our current Sisters to flutter in, as we share in this special time of year. If you are not a member of our Garden and would like to join us in the coming year, please know we’ll be leaving a light on for you and look forward to meeting you soon.

In closing, I would like to say, Happy, Happy New Year My Most Beautiful Sisters. I do pray 2008 will find each of you in a gentle place and you will be blessed throughout by love, laughter and many happy smiles.
