Leader's Letter

WOW!!! Its hard to believe that our dear WOSIB is going to be 7 years old this month!!! While it seems like just part of everyday life to most of us, anyone who has belonged to a women's online group can tell you, 7 years is quite a milestone. Groups online come and go, full of excitement and fun in the beginning stages, and most fizzle out when the excitement is gone. WOSIB has not only withstood the waxing and waning of periods of time, but also has remained strong despite the normal changes.

I have to be honest with you; I had never belonged to a women's group before. I've been a member of several graphic artists groups, etc, but never a group like WOSIB. When I joined, I was looking for not only a place to belong and further my graphic interests, but also learn some new things, and maybe even make a new friend or two!! I never expected to be so lucky to gain so much more than a couple of new friends!! And no matter what is going on in your life, you know that you're going to get a torrential DOWNPOUR of love, support, and encouragement!!!

To the original owner, we give our undying thanks for starting the group as her dream; to Pamster and Becca for furthering that dream, and to all the women who take time out of their precious lives to keep things going, provide us with what we take for granted, and for continuing a group that has long survived every storm!! Here's to WOSIB...and may it last forever!!!

One last thing; Mother's Day is also this month. For those of us who are lucky enough to still have our mothers, don't forget to show your mom how precious they are to us. To those of us who no longer have our mothers, or never knew their mother, remember someone who has been a large influence in your life. If you are a mother, remember how blessed you are to have children. If you're a new mother, bask in the glow of your precious little one!! And to those who are about to become mothers, you are about to embark on the single greatest role in life that can be played!! If you're a grandma, like me, remember this: Grandchildren are your reward for getting through your own child's teen years!! ;-)
