Hello! It is me, Fairy Duchess Spirit. Please pull up a toadstool and sit with me while I tell you what we’ve been doing and what we’ll be looking forward to in our wonderful Fae Garden.

New Fairy Welcome ~*
It is such a joyful day when we get to welcome a new Fae into our Garden. How exciting it was that we were able to welcome a wonderful new fae to our Garden.

During April we welcomed:

Stormie Dreams

We’re so happy that this wonderful Fae has joined us.

Activities ~*
During April awards were given for the Magic Dusting Competition held in March.

Many of the fae joined in a fun Story Creating activity. Each participating fairy wrote a paragraph. The story will be displayed at the end of this information because we had so much fun and are so proud of it.

We had a fun time playing on the Easter pages. We searched for missing items, played games, received gifts and even got a beautiful participation award just for having fun. We also played Word Games (a word search and word scramblers) and were given participation awards for having fun doing that too.

WOSIB 7th Anniversary Plaque: A beautiful Anniversary plaque was created and presented to the WOSIB 7th Anniversary committee on behalf of and representing the Fae Garden.

Group within the group: Our garden now has a group within the group where our fairies can discuss issues outside of our Fae Garden realm.

Spoil a Fae: Our amazing Fairies flutter around WOSIB sprinkling fairy dust as they spread joy and cheer to everyone. Twice in March we honored two of our own Garden Fairies. We did this by spoiling each of them for a couple weeks. During March we were delighted as the Spoil a Fae Fairies were Night Dreams Fae and Fairy Gossamer Moon.

Birthdays: We are enjoying celebrating our fairy’s Birthdays each Month, though I cannot tell you who’s because we are of course fairly secret.

Looking Ahead:
During May we will be playing new games and enjoying Spring in the Garden.

We Fae not only have a lot of fun and enjoy ourselves but as Fae we love spreading joy and good cheer to our other WOSIB sisters too. Many of us fairies see our human WOSIB sisters peeking through the woods or sit outside the garden listing to the harmonious sounds and laughter coming from within. If you are a fae in human’s clothing or believe you have fairy tendencies, please feel free to come to the entrance of our Garden and join us, we’d love to have you and we will not tell anyone that you’re here.

Fae Garden story creation:
It was a warm, beautiful spring day in the Fae Garden. All the Fae where lounging around in different hiding places amongst the trees, flowers, shadows, streams, and rivers. In the center of the garden is a water fountain that was designed by a few gnomes, fairies, and dragons. Deep in the old oak tree is where the Fae store their magical faery dust so no one can find it but them. Until one day, a storm came through and shook the old oak. (Fairy Princess Andrea)

All the Fae came out of there hiding places and flew towards the oak to try and save their dust. The wind was blowing so hard that the branches on the oak were bending from the force of the wind. The little Fae were trying to fly towards their beloved oak and they were suspended in air unable to go forward. Unable to reach the oak the fae were helpless as they watched the oak sway and bend in the wind. All of sudden there was a loud clap of thunder and lightening struck the ground beside the oak, just missing it. (Fairy Maiden Song)

Just then the Fairy Godmother flew into the Garden and couldn't believe her eyes. There were fairies, here and there and everywhere. Some fairies were laughing uncontrollably, some were stuck to the ground like glue, others were flying in circles and yet others were flying around frantically trying to gather up all the dust they could. They explained to the Fairy Godmother what had happened and then she understood, realizing that some of the dust had been carried around by the Garden dust devils. She herself in a bit of a giggle daze tried to help as best she could. (Fairy Duchess Spirit)

Ah, but it was not the dust devils, it was only Mother Nature being very unhappy with what old man winter was doing...Why, he was just being his old stubborn self who only wanted to keep the cold and dreary weather around, so that the happy and spirited fairies would have to stay in the hollows and snug covens and become sad and unable to bring their cheer and happy thoughts to the world around them. Putting her hands on her hips, Fairy Godmother looked around at the Fae scattered about the Garden wondering how she could fix this mess. She was deep in thought when she heard Fairy Maiden Song off in the distance singing a happy tune while picking up fairy dust with Shadow Faery, Fairy Gossamer Moon, Night Dreams Fae, and Stormie Dreams Fae. She noticed that Fairy Duchess Spirit and Fairy Princess Andrea were both stuck to the ground laughing uncontrollably. Emerald Fae Maiden fluttered over to Fairy Godmother asking her if she was alright. "Yes, dear. I am fine," she replied. Smiling, Emerald Fae Maiden fluttered over to the Fairy Duchess and Princess and helped them up. (Fairy Princess Andrea)

After helping Fairy Duchess and Princess Andrea from the sticky mud, Emerald Fae took both of them to the leaf showers for them to wash off. Seeing that all was well in the fairy kingdom, Fairy Godmother flutters to her favorite toadstool and quietly overlooks the fast repairs done by the happy and mischievous faes of her kingdom. Seeing that all was well & the repairs & clean up was going quite smoothly Emerald Fae Maiden quietly sneaks off to her little hiding spot in the Garden & returns with chocolate cookies for everyone to share. "Oh Dear Fae I have some chocolate treats to share with everyone" she called. With the mention of the word chocolate all of the Fae in the Garden stopped what they were doing.
