TLC

The month of April was a very busy one for TLC. Many requests for support, lots of spoiling, and we're still stocking our Graphics shop with new graphics.

One of the biggest events was also the saddest. Our own dear Sadie, who has lead TLC with grace, dignity, and compassion, has decided to step down and reduce her load due to family circumstances. No one is sadder than me. I have only been with TLC since November, but have had the honor of working closely with Sadie as her assistant. She taught me so many things; how to keep our teams spirits up when so many requests for support are needed; how to spoil our ladies who deserve the extra attention; how to keep things going when it looks bleak; and most of all, how to stay calm and cool under any kind of pressure. No problem is too big for Sadie, no worry to great to handle, and love and patience are her biggest leadership qualities. She lead by example, and I plan to use those lessons well as I step up as TLC Garden Head. No matter what comes through, sadness for a sister's grieving, rejoycing over a new baby or other wonderful news, or just plain "please pick me up", I know when I get to a point where I'm unsure of how to proceed, all I have to do is stop and think "What would Sadie do?" Sadie, thanks from the bottom of my heart for all the love, lessons, and leadership you have given me. TLC keeps a piece of your heart...

Since stepping up as Garden Head, and taking Sadie's recommendations on how to fill the positions her leaving opens, we have selected some very capable and willing people to fill our spots.

Idgie has been a member of TLC since February. She joined with a stong purpose and a generous heart. The ladies she spoils each week get more than the ordinary spoiling. She's quick to sign guestbooks, make gifts, and whenever I've needed her to help out in a pinch, she's always been there. Idgie joins our staff as Spoiling Head Assistant.

Lady Sessiie is no stranger to us...many of you have seen her in other gardens, quietly spreading her sisterly love. She does many pages not only for TLC but also for Celebrators every month. She has stepped up to take over as Support Head.

As Garden Head, I definitely needed someone who knows the ropes and has had experience in all of the teams. I had to look no further than Tina, Head of Graphics. Tina and I have a bit of pyschic connection going on; I do believe we could finish each other's sentences!! She has been a very welcome help to me this past few weeks. Tina steps up as Garden Head Assistant.

I hope you all will continue to seek out TLC for anything you need by the way of support, spoiling, or special graphics to touch your heart. We're here for you!

Hugs,
Jeri
TLC Garden Head

Spoiling News
Wow...what a month it has been!!! Our ladies have been so busy spoiling those who we have on our lists. Each and everyone has worked hard to give those the extra attention they deserve. I'm very proud of my team!! We had 3 new members join - welcome Skydancer, Lisa, and Akaysha!!! I know you all are going to be most welcome additions in our team!

Have you been feeling a bit down lately?? Need a pick me up?? Why not ask for some spoiling!!! Our ladies are ready to treat you week after week with lots of goodies, love, and special hugs just for you! Contact us at jeri@wosib.org or idgie@wosib.org and we'll get you set up for some lovely pampering!

I'm going to let Idgie tell you a bit about herself here, so you will know her better....

When I first joined WOSIB, I started with The Receiver's and Critter's Gardens, and then became fascinated with the Signature Tags I saw everyone using, so I joined that Garden also. Before I knew it, I was a member of Lil Sis Chat and Big to Lil Sis Chat. As Support pages were forwarded to each Garden for signing, I was amazed and heartened by the constant show of Love & Support that came through the TLC Garden, so I joined Support, Spoiling & TLC Graphics Gardens. I am proud to belong to this wonderful network of caring individuals, who all have their own lives to live, joys and problems, but are so willing to take the time to Create the Beautiful Support Pages, Send Out Cards & Emails of Encouragement, etc. I Respect & Admire Each and Every Member of This Group. It is a Volunteer Organization at its finest! Women Supporting Women - This is how it should be!

Although I consider myself one of the luckiest people alive, I have walked through many a fire to reach this place in my life, and have so much compassion and empathy for those facing the trials and tribulations that life has a tendency to deal out. The TLC Garden is an emotionally rewarding venue, although at times, very sad, as our Sister's experience grief, heartache, illness, etc. Having the opportunity to play a role in their healing process is an extreme honor and privilege.

I am an eternal optimist who truly believes there is a rainbow at the end of every dark tunnel.

Love & Hugs from Idgie

Support News
April remained a busy month for us in Support. We've done 16 sets of pages for those who have needed the extra support!! This is not to mention the many ecards we send out on top of that. Our team has been wonderful at getting your support requests out in a timely manner. I think they all are just the best!!! And now we have 3 new members here as well; Skydancer,Lisa, and Akaysha are here to help us lift up our ladies who need that support!! I know you all are wonderful, generous ladies to be joining our team.

If you know of someone who needs support then email us at either ladysessiie@wosib.org, or jeri@wosib.org and weI'll set our ladies into action for you :o)

I'm going to let Lady Sessiie take a moment here to tell you a bit about herself....

My name is Nathalie aka LadySessiie and I live in Stockholm Sweden. I am a proud mother of a daughter who is 19 and we used to have two Cats but one of them is now missing, he disappeard the other day And now we cannot find him..so for now we have just one..his name is Liten, Grey with white dots..He is 3 years old and he is very cozy, purring a lot..So..is he then a purrfect cat? Lol..

There are so many things I like to do so I can not write it all here as then it will be a long book..so I will just write a little..

For now the main interests are my onlinegroups, playing around making Graphics in psp, reading, writing and watching movies.

I love to laugh, have a lot of humour and I feel a laugh or more a day keeps the doc away..It is healing and very important to laugh..I like everything pretty and elegant..lol..yes I am a true lady..

I would like to thank you who was offering me the position of head of the Wosib TLC Support team..I truly feel very honred as this team is very special to me as I feel it is so very important to show that we care about our sissys.. When I first joined wosib in 2004 I joined the TLC Garden but then I had to leave Wosib for a while.. When I rejoined I joined the Support Team.. From the first day I joined the TLC Garden I have been blessed to belong to such a lovely group of caring ladies:) I have always been feeling for others and wanted to show my supportAnd tender love and care for others who are having difficulties. If and when I know I can help someone then I feel blessed..I feel in this World it is so very important to show one another we are here for them and supporting them in every way we can. To help and to reach out for others who are having hard times, difficulties, are sick, family issues or just to show we are here for our sissys..I wish I could do so much more..

So this is pretty much why I joined the TLC Garden, to reach out to our dear sissys who are facing hard times.. in one way or the other..Then finally I have to extend my heartfelt thanks to you Sadie for everything You have done for this Garden and for WOSIB..I am so honoured to know you
Hugs Nathalie (aka LadySessiie)

Graphics News
We are in the process of changing over graphics to give gift shop a fresh new assortment of graphics. We are always looking for some new and fresh graphic ideas. Right now I'm in the process of coming up with a bi-weekly challenge for the ladies to participate in something fun yet rewarding for all the ladies. I would love to hear some ideas so if you have any then send them to tina2@wosib.org

Here at Graphic Artists we are looking for a few good ladies.

If you have experience in making all sorts of graphics then give us a try and see if you like it. Our assignments are small but fun. No pressure at all. If you are interested in joining our small group then apply at
http://www.wosib.org/wosibtlc/pages/apply02.html

Give us a look:

Here's a bit about me:
Hello, I'm Tina a 33 yr old retired night baker and a full time mother of 2 special needs boys. I am raising 7 animal babies as well. I currently am a member of WOSIB Quilters, and Pagemakers. I also am assistant Head of TLC and Head of Graphic Artists. I like many others was looking for female support groups when I found WOSIB. I have been a member of WOSIB since October 2001.

Each week I send out assignments for the ladies in Graphic Artists so that we can run a smooth gift shop for all of TLC Garden. I would like to one day see it completely full with all sorts of graphics. But right now we have limited number of members so assignments are kept simple. I would also like to see a weekly challenge within Graphic Artists which is currently in the works for the ladies they just don't know it yet..:)

Hugs,
Tina
