The ladies made and signed 28 Special days pages for February. We’d like to welcome a couple of new members to the garden. Faith has returned to the garden, she’s a page maker. Laura is new WOSIB member, she’s our newest gifter / signer.

Gifter / Signer Cordelia

What is your name/WOSIB name and location?
My name is Cordelia and I live in the beautiful Catoctin Mountains in Maryland.

What other WOSIB Gardens do you belong to?
I currently only belong to Celebrators. I had been active in the Sisters Garden and was a member of the Recipe Garden, but work got more demanding and I had to cut back on pc time. I hope to get back to the Sisters Garden someday! I loved the ladies there.

Tell us about your other hobbies (not WOSIB related)
I love the outdoors. We live just down the road from Catoctin Mountain State Park so we enjoy wandering in the woods by the mountain streams. Spending time by the ocean is another favorite! I enjoy scrapbooking and had been doing it long before it was a fad. I have several that I did when I was a teen. While I enjoy sewing, I haven't done much since I work full time. I enjoy herb gardening. Cooking is something I love to do, especially when the whole family gathers. When they don't my husband teases me that I still cook for an army!

What are your favorites? Food? Movies? Flowers?
Some of my favorite foods include steak, shrimp, pizza and "hog maw". I enjoy Historical Fiction and Fantasy type movies. Some favorites include Golden Compass, All the Harry Potter Series (#3 is my favorite!), Mists of Avalon, Practical Magic and of course the Pirates Trilogy! I love silly comedies too, like High Spirits and Austin Powers. I love flowers and enjoy gardening when time. My favorites include lavender, lilacs and wildflower mixes.

Tell us why you wanted to be in the Celebrators garden and how long you've been in the group?
I think I joined Celebrators around a year ago, not sure as I always enjoyed joining in signing the books before I joined Celebrators Garden. I enjoy helping to spread cheer, support and encouragement to our WOSIB sisters.

Tell us about something that is going on in your life right now that has you so excited?
The exciting things for me include spending time with my hubby, kids and grandkids. Our youngest daughter will graduate this year and hubby and I are looking forward to having the house to ourselves, but we do enjoy when the kids come to visit!

If you like signing guest books, we’d love to have you join us. We have 2 areas of the garden for signing books. Our gifters signers area does require you sign books. Our Partiers group is non requirement of signing monthly books. In Partiers you do need to sign at least 3 books within a 3 month period.

A Bit on Special Days Pages A reminder ladies! You will receive an email from me around the end of the month before the month of your special day. Example, if your special day is in April, you’ll receive an email from me at the end of February. It will give you till the 10th of March to respond. Please ladies, check your spam folders for email from wosib. When I get your response, I’ll reply with a “Got it” so you know I have received it.

Filling out form for special days, does not automatically get you pages. You have to respond to what is called a scout. That is the email I send asking if you want pages, and info from you to help us make pages for you.

At this time after I send out scouts, Becca will be sending through announce to all wosib members notice that scouts were done for the month we will be working in. If you do not have a Birthday or Wedding / Partner Anniversary in the month it applies to, you do not need to respond. This announce from Becca is to insure everyone does have the opportunity to let us know if they want pages, with a deadline date to resond.

Celebrators Garden does not make memorial pages for death anniversaries or birthday pages for those who’ve left this physical life before us. WOSIB does have a Garden of Memories for those who would like a dedication plaque for their loved ones who have gone before us.
