LITERARY
Happy March, ladies! Hasn’t the year gone fast already? Before we know it Easter will be upon us.
Well I hope you all enjoy the selection we have in store for you this month. We invite you to stop by and have a read of the wonderful stories, poetry, challenges and not to mention the Continuing Story, all of which are a fantastic display of our ladies’ talent!
We undertook a rather fun challenge this month with Spine Poems! This is a form of poetry where we take the title of a book, a movie or a song (of at least four words) and use each word from the title as the beginning of a new line in our poems – therefore creating a Spine poem. These were a lot of fun, and you can read them on the Literary website at http://www.wosib.org/literary/ under Fun Challenges (February).
And if you enjoy writing, why don’t you come and join us?! There’s plenty for you to do here, even if you don’t think you are a writer. Please feel free to stop by the Literary pages and take a look. We’d love to have you!
Please don’t forget to stop by and read about our Spotlight Author of the Month…..just who could she be this month….*s*

Challenge Nook
Reported by Linda
Another month gone and the Girls in Literary have risen to the challenge once again and provided us with lovely things to read about the Changing of the Seasons - please stop by and read them.
It is always a challenge to me to find something "challenging" for these Literary Ladies - and this time they are challenged to write a letter - the theme is on the Garden Pages.
I know we have had some new members and I am enjoying seeing this Garden blossom.
Love and hugs (as always)
Linda

Continuing Story
Reported by MaidenFair
This month the ladies of the Continuing Story nook took up a tale from the darker side of life. The story is of a young woman found beaten on the side of the road. She has no memory of the attack or even who she is. The story unfolds through many twists to a totally unexpected ending. Please stop over to the Continuing Story nook and read “The Dark Man”

Non Fiction Nook

Spring is in the air; the birds are chirping and flowers are blooming all across the WOSIB Literary Garden. We are searching our souls and sharing our Muses, as we explore the gift of Easter. We each celebrate for different reasons. Some of us recognize the resurrection of of Christ, while others of us, just love to hunt for Easter Eggs on a beautiful spring day. So pull up a seat and grab some Java; our Ladies have some fond memories to share! We'll leave a light on for you!
I'm Sending Hugs~

Comfort & Celebrations Nook
Reported by Joanne
Hello! I'm Joanne, and I'm in charge of the Celebrations and Comfort Nook (called the C & C for short). Members of the Literary Garden contribute to this Nook by submitting poems celebrating happy events, such as birthdays, weddings, engagements, births and so on. Poems and/or short stories are also submitted for special comfort and support in the case of deaths of loved ones, favorite pets, and also depression, family difficulties, sudden changes and the like. These submissions are then sent to the Celebrators who include them in their specific pages according to theme needed. For those of us who live in the Northern Hemisphere, we will be welcoming warmer Spring weather, and saying "good-bye" to Old Man Winter. For our sisters in the southern hemisphere, refreshing autumnal days on their way. These are perfect causes for celebration.

Reviews & Expressions Nooks
Reported by Silveressence
Hi ladies!
I hope you all are well! Happy St. Patricks Day to you. May the luck of the Irish be on your side. I am Irish so I'm excited this time of year!! The Review and Expressions Nooks have been slow latley with not many members making submissions so I'd like to try something new and "theme" them! I hope this will encourage and inspire you to use these corners for your own submissions to our garden.
Be sure to check out the themes for this month to see what the new themes for Reviews and Expressions are!!
Hope you all have a great month!
SilverEssence.
