Co-Leader's Letter

Hello dear sisters!!
Can you believe our year is nearly half over??? I can't!! I love June, the last bit of spring weather wrung out before the heat of summer hits... Lots going on for everyone this month, birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, graduations, Father's Day, etc. I hope everyone has a bit of time to relax and unwind!

Some of you may have noticed our dear Idgie has not written for several months. She's had to be on LOA since February, due to illness, family difficulties, etc. The good news is, she's doing fine, she's working on a new home business for herself (which is proving to be VERY successful!!!), and helping her daughter who has been in some very hard times. The bad news is, it may be several more months before she can return to us. I finally got an email from her where she apologises for being gone so long. She misses you all, and wants you to know you're not far from her thoughts. She will return to us as soon as things settle down for her and her family. Family comes first, as it should. She also asks that if you would, please, no emails, cards, pages, etc. She has so many emails now, she cannot weed through them all. She told me to tell all members she loves you all so much and hopes to return to us soon.

This has left a bit of problem, however. With the vast size of WOSIB, and the many things that must be done at the site and etc, I felt the need to have someone to act as Co-Leader until Idgie can return. We are NOT replacing Idgie, as that would be impossible, but are just appointing someone to act in the interim, in case I must take LOA or anything else of that nature. Idgie and I both feel this person is more than capable of handling things. She knows the site inside and out, is extremely well organized, and already serves on the Organization Staff. She has been assisting me for the past month unofficially, and has proved to be a valuable asset to WOSIB. Idgie approves this person as well. Until Idgie is able to return to us, Akaysha will be Acting Co Leader. Akaysha currently is our Members Manager and Assistant Announce List Manager. Yes, she has alot of duties, but she has proven herself to be capable of handling anything that is asked of her. Despite a full time job outside the home, Akaysha devotes 4 to 5 hours a day with her WOSIB duties. Just knowing she is there in case I cannot be is a huge relief!

I hope you all will give Akaysha the same consideration you do to Idgie and I. If you have any questions, concerns, or problems, you can contact either of us at jeri@wosib.org or akaysha@wosib.org. As soon as Idgie returns, Akaysha will step back down to her normal duties. She hopes that will be very soon...LOL

Hi to all my WOSIB Sisters!

Its hard to believe that summer is almost here and the year half over, and especially hard to believe since the last snow where I am was only three weeks ago *grins* We've had some tremendous thunderstorms in the past few days which I love, (only if hail and tornados aren't involved) and that just makes me pause and send a fervent hope that Mother Nature in all her spring/summer storm fury leaves my online sisters safe.

We were all absolutely relieved to hear from our Co-Leader Idgie, and find that although she is going through a very intense time with her family and business, she is ok and taking an extended leave of absence. I know that she misses you all very much and that she will be back with us when she can, and I'm delighted (or terrified...whichever way you look at it LOL) that Jeri AND Idgie have placed their faith in me to assist Jeri as Acting Co-Leader until Idgie's return.

There's a tremendous amount of things that need to be done on a daily basis, and I'll be here to help Jeri when I can, and to help you too if you have a question or a problem. We're both only an email away at coleaders@wosib.org or at jeri@wosib.org and akaysha@wosib.org
