Reporter Of The Month

Are you interested in doing something for WOSIB, yet don't have too much time? Do you like the thought of writing articles about various happenings around WOSIB and or around the world? Do you have a little "Clark Kent" in you bursting to get out?
If so, then you have come to the right place!
Reporter of the Month is for each and every lady here at WOSIB. You don't have to be a prize winning novelist to write for ROTM; you just have to have something to say! We will gladly help you develop and edit your story so it's the very best it can be. So if you can write a post or an email, and there's a topic you would like to share with us please read on to find out how to become a WOSIB Reporter of the Month!

ROTM Guidelines

Reporter of the Month is a rather broad category. Your “article” may be a news or current events article, an instructional piece, a short story or poem, or even a biographical piece.

All ROTM pieces must be family friendly. I will not consider articles that are overly explicit or that promote illegal activities, hatred, etc. Basically, keep to the same standards that WOSIB applies to our members' web sites and you should be fine.

You must agree to editing of your article for length or clarity. You will supply a short biography and your contact information, to be published with the article.

If your article is not already written you may submit a brief outline or a first draft for consideration. If you agree to have an article ready for a specific date, please respect the deadline or notify me well in advance if you will not be able to.

You retain all copyrights to your writing. Please ensure that no part of any article you submit (including graphics) is copyrighted by a third party unless you can produce appropriate credits and permissions. If you have previously published your piece somewhere in print or on the internet it is your responsibility to be sure that submitting your piece to ROTM does not violate any previous agreements you have made with third parties. Read your fine print!

Articles and outlines submitted for ROTM will be reviewed individually and I will be available to help authors develop stories. Some stories will take a lot of work, while others will be ready for publication in a relatively short period of time. Similarly, some stories are seasonal and will therefore be pushed ahead or held back so we can publish them at the appropriate time. Please don't let any waiting discourage you. We always need articles, and we will publish all pieces that meet the guidelines!

You may submit as many pieces as you like, as often as you like. But we do want to give every member a chance to be ROTM, so if you have already had a piece published we will ask you to be patient while other ladies have a turn before we print another of your articles.

To thank you for your efforts, every lady published will be awarded an ROTM Badge like the one below.
