Please tell us about yourself: My name is Ethel GG. I am a widow and I
live in Florida. I have one daughter, three grandchildren and one great
grandchild. All of them live about a thousand miles away from me, in
Connecticut. I also have some furbabies...one doggy named Scooter and three
cats......Boots, Sassy, and our baby cat, KoKo. They are like my kids, too. My
parents live about an hour's drive from me. My Mom is one of my best friends. We
talk on the phone all during the day. I also have a long distance relationship
with a great guy named Gary. He and I started out as best friends and it turned
into love. We talk about everything and write each other poetry. We also have a
lot of long distance phone calls, like my daughter and I do. LOL
What are your hobbies and interests: My favorite thing to do is to be with my
loved ones, family, friends and my furbabies. I also like to crochet and do
cross stitch. One of my passions in life is writing poetry. I get a lot of my
inner feelings out that way. I used to fish a lot but don't get to do that much
anymore. I also love to create graphics with Paint Shop Pro and like to make
webpages since I'm learning how to make the websets.
Tell us a bit about where you are from: As I said, I live in Florida and I love
it. I grew up around the beaches and that's always been one of my favorite
places. Our beach had a lot of damage, though, from the hurricanes the last few
years. Thank God we didn't have any major storms this past hurricane season.
There was a lot of damage done in our area before.
When did you join Wosib: I joined WOSIB in March of 2004. I really enjoy the
group. I have met some wonderful friends on here. I have belonged to the
Celebrations and Receivers Gardens since I joined. I also belonged to Signatures
Of Distinction and the Literary Garden until I had to leave them because of
health reasons. I had to take quite a bit of LOA last year because of my health
and I couldn't have asked for anyone to be any more considerate than the leaders
of WOSIB. I really love this group.
What's the best thing about Wosib and why: I think the best thing about
WOSIB is the sense of family. If anyone needs anything, the other members are
always right there to offer their help and words of encouragement. I thank
everyone for your friendship.
Hugs to you all,
Ethel GG
