"Resolutions"

Dearest Sisters & Friends!
Happy Happy New Year!

This year, I have decided to discard all of my usual, self defeating resolutions and concentrate on the attainable!

My goal for 2007 is to organize my whole entire life! (BIG WIDE GRIN) Now stop laughing...I'm Serious! O.K...My plan, as worded is indeed, unrealistic at best. I may need to approach this lofty ideal in stages. I'll give this more thought -

In the meantime, I would like to talk to you about some resolutions for the New Year that I consider crucial to each and every one of us. In just a few short weeks, for the most part, 2006 will be memories. I am asking you to treasure the good ones...put them in that special place in your heart to hold on to. The rest...walk away from and don't look back. Now, you know which ones I am talking about Dear Sisters. Odds are, you are holding on to more than just last year's baggage. This is not healthy, and I am imploring you to make 2007 the year that you become truly free! Kick that unproductive, useless baggage, to the curb!

It is time to let go of the issues that have been weighing you down, robbing you of a joyful life! Do not let rubbish from the past steal one more precious minute of living in the present! We are all guilty of this. I say it's time to establish the WOSIB Biggest Loser's Club, but I am not speaking of pounds and inches. Rather; anger, guilt, fears, self doubt, grudges, trust issues, insecurities...anything negative that stems from past experiences.

Forgive anyone who has caused you personal injury and move on... I am not asking you to take back a cheating or abusive spouse, trust someone who has stolen from you, or anything even remotely related! I am only asking that you change how you allow the negative impact other people or situations have made on your life, to affect you now. Do not infuse the negative with a power it does not deserve!

Do not allow a worthless man to keep you from believing there is a good man out there with your name on him! Smiles... Believe in Love! Do not allow someone who has betrayed your trust to keep you from trusting again - Lack of trust eats away at our humanity.

If you are reading this to yourself and wondering, "Just What is Our Co-Leader On? I Want Some of That, So I Can Live on Her Planet of Pink Unicorns and Taffy Rainbows", trust me when I say, I am speaking from the voice of experience when it comes to packing around unhealthy, useless baggage. I have walked a zillion miles in my shoes, across hot coals and cold ashes. There was a time when I found myself immersed in guilt, shame, self loathing, feelings of inadequacy...most of these feelings resulting from as far back as childhood. Then I had a genuine awakening, (a near death experience to be exact) and have not looked back. This is what I wish for any of my Dear Sisters and Friends out there that are experiencing the weight of unchecked baggage.

Stand in front of the mirror and take a look. There is a Beautiful Person and a Whole New Year Facing You! Embrace Them Both! If anyone attempts to stand in your way, they can only succeed if you let them. Bottom Line...Listen to Your Heart! A standard line I have for really annoying people, and please feel free to use it - "Well Thank God YOU Are Not in Charge of My Birthday!" (A Burst of Laughter Here Really Gets Them Flustered...)

Love & Hugs
