Each month Celebrators is giving an Appreciation Award to WOSIB Sisters who are not members of the Garden. It's our way of saying we appreciate you choosing to take the time to sign books that are sent out by Celebrators.

February's Meet your Celebrator is Barbara



What is your name/WOSIB name and location?
My name is Barbara. Currently, I live in Pittsburgh, PA but am getting ready to move back home to Alexandria VA...thats about 15 min from Washington DC

What other WOSIB Gardens do you belong to?
I'm the Assistant Head of the Critters Garden.

Tell us about your other hobbies (not WOSIB related):
I like alot of things...some of them are animals, the beach, traveling, music, my computer, making web pages and hanging out with friends.

What are your favorites? Food? Movies? Flowers?
My favorite color is pink. I don't think I have a favorite food really but my favorite drink is Starbucks Ice Tea. My favorite sea animal is the Dolphin. My favorite flowers are roses and carnations. My favorite movie is a toss up between Officer and a Gentleman and Terms of Endearment.

Tell us why you wanted to be in the Celebrators garden and how long you've been in the group?
I've been in the Celebrators as long as I've been in WOSIB...almost 5 years. I've been in other Gardens but consider Celebrators to be my "home" I love making webpages and love helping others celebrate special occassions. Sometimes, for different reasons, a page for a special occassion is all someone may have....I like the idea that I'm helping make that special day just a little bit more special :)

Tell us about something that is going on in your life right now that has you so excited?
What I'm really excited about is that in the next few weeks, I'll be leaving Pittsburgh and moving back home to Alexandria, VA. I can't wait to be back home.

Our newest pagemaker is Sindy. Welcome to the garden. Some maybe familiar with Sindy's linkware site Sindy's Creations She also writes beautiful poetry.

Staff changes:
LadyNathalie Garden Assistant. She's doing and sending out our special days newsletters twice a week. Doing a fantastic job!!!

MandyMoo Garden Assistant. She's has given the garden it's new look. She'll be collecting the special days gifts for our pages from Garden Heads from their gardens and Celebrators. Will be calling for those soon this month to cover the next 3 months gifts. She will also be making the pages the gifts go on that are used by pagemakers for the special days pages sent.
