Celebrators

Happy August everyone!

This is my last newsletter as Head Celebrator. :-( As y'all have heard, due to RL commitments, I've had to make a very difficult decision to leave my staff positions with WOSIB. I'm certainly going to miss everyone - I've really enjoyed helping everyone celebrate their Special Days for the last six years (that's a LOT of guestbooks to sign - LOL) and I've especially enjoyed working with all our wonderful Celebrators. Our group has grown tremendously from the small group of Celebrators that barely had enough events to celebrate each month to give everyone something to do, to the current group that makes 50-60 pages every single month. It's been a wonderful 6 years - and I'm sure that the next six, and even beyond that, will be just as great!!

The Celebrations Garden has been busy creating pages for the Birthdays and Anniversaries of our special ladies. We created 54 pages for July Special Days.

Ooooh boy! Let’s see, other than the Celebrators I’m Assistant Head of TLC Support, Pixels, Fae, TLC Graphics, Receivers, Recipes, Social Butterflies, Newsletter, Resources and Big Sisters!

Tell us about your other hobbies (not WOSIB related)

I’m not sure if you’d class it as a hobby, but I study with the Open University http://www.open.ac.uk where I’m hoping to get a BA in Childhood and Youth Studies in about 10 years time!

What are your favorites? Food? Movies? Flowers?

My favorite food is anything vegetarian (I’ve been vegetarian for about 17 years), my favorite film is either Grease or any Austin Powers and I like all flowers but I have a nasty habit of killing them! Cactus is about the only thing I can keep alive! My favorite animal is definitely dolphins!

Tell us why you wanted to be in the Celebrators garden and how long you've been in the group?

After I got my first birthday pages from WOSIB I decided I wanted to help other people to feel as good as I did so the Celebrators was the first Garden I joined! I’ve learnt a lot about websites since I’ve been with them and I’m proud of the ones I make now! :o)

Tell us about something that is going on in your life right now that has you so excited?

WOSIB and studying are the only things I’ve got going on atm – I should really be studying now ‘cos I’ve got an assignment to hand in by 2 August! lol
