Staff Spotlight
Shel - April 2008

Welcome to Spotlight..

Please tell us about yourself:
I'm Shel Franz, Becca's cousin. We're both crazy, which I'm sure everyone already knows.

What is the URL of your web site if you have one: http://www.phenomenal-webmistress.net/blog

How about your family, please tell us a bit about them: I'm married to the most wonderful man in the world, Christopher. I have two great kids, Melora, who is 18 and a fellow WOSIB member, and Jason (Jay for short) who is 11. Melora lives with Chris and I in Illinois, and Jay lives in Texas with his dad.

What are your hobbies and interests: Anything computer related!! I'm heavy into digital scrapbooking right now. I also read everything I can get my hands on, though I lean heavily toward mysteries.

Tell us a bit about where you are from: I'm a Texas native. I was born in Irving, Texas (home of the Cowboys!) but we moved to Stinnett, Texas (north of Amarillo) before I started school. I was fortunate enough to be able to go to the same school all 12 years.

I've also lived in Clovis, NM, and Cisco, Texas, which is between Abilene and Ft. Worth. Three years ago, though, I took the plunge and moved to Illinois to be with Chris. Illinois is beautiful for three and a half seasons a year.. it's that last month of winter that'll get you! Lucky for me I have Chris to keep me warm *wink*.

When did you join WOSIB: This is actually my third time. I've been a member off and on for probably close to four or five years. This most recent time I joined at the first of this year (2008).

As a Staff Member within WOSIB, what Gardens are you currently involved in and to what capacity: I'm in charge of Anniversary Plaques, IT/website management, and the Directory.

Have you been involved in any Other Gardens as Staff: I was head and asst. head of Sigtags, head and asst. head of Causes Garden, and did a short lived stint as asst. in Judging Garden.

Any other Gardens you were/are involved in: I think I was in recipes for a short while in one of my previous memberships.

What's the best thing about WOSIB and why: The sisterhood that we share. I've met so many people from around the globe that I'd have never had the opportunity to visit and come to know otherwise.

Anything else you would like to add: Thanks for the spotlight!

Thank you Shel for telling us about yourself, please accept the award that will be e-mailed to you, as a token for being in our spotlight!
