Literary Garden

We have had another busy month in the Literary Garden with our Main Submissions taking priority and then all the fun the mini submissions bring. We have had the usual sickness in the Garden and people needing to take Leave of Absence. We had one member leave and we have welcomed back another. Constantly changing – and if you would like a chance to share your writing skills in a group of supportive like minds – please consider joining us. Our Fiction theme was about the Nursery Story Cinderella – and three of our members tackled making it a different tale – our winners were First Valerie, Angel of Music with her story "The Other Step Sister"
Second was Christina with "The Other Cynderella"
Third was Selena with "Who is the Real Cinderella?"

Our Poetry this time was prompted by a picture of a beautiful lady and our challenge was to write about the picture and just who she may have been. Eight ladies chose to do this and their writing is available to read. Our winners were:

First – Christina with "A Faded Memory"
Second a tie between Susan (Tootypup) with "Portrait of a Lady"
And
Linda with "Frozen in Time"
Third was Winter Wolf with "Portrait of Love."
Honourable Mention goes to LindaMay for her poem "With You"

Well done Ladies – such diversity and beauty in the written word.

Our Non Fiction, Whimsical, Reviews, Challenge and Expressions still bring interesting and thought provoking submissions and they are there for reading. Our Continuing Story brings writers together and challenges them to pick up where another writer has left off – and the story line can take any direction.

We continue to support Comfort and Celebrations by writing poems for use on Web Pages made for Members by WOSIB.

Our Certificate of Appreciation this month (March) has been awarded to Susan (Tootypup) for her continued support of the Literary Garden and her cheerful ways and friendliness. Congratulations Susan. We are grateful for your involvement and activity. Your award will be sent in email.
