She makes sure each and every month is readable, interesting, newsy, and timeworthy. Without her, we would not be as well informed as members as we are now!!! CRITTERS
Congratulations to our Critter Keeper of the Month....Jenn! A fairly new member of our garden, Jenn always takes the time to respond to conversations, questions and announcements from her Critters Garden family members. Jenn always remembers that, even if you dont have the answers, a comment to let a sister know you are there, you are listening and you care is just as important as a solution to a problem.
You can visit Jenn at Web Page or send your congratulations personally to E-Mail

What is your favourite Literary Garden Nook and why?
I think I enjoy the Poetry Nook the best. It gives me a chance to kind of blurt out words and emotions that are in my heart, and even if it doesn't completely make a lot of sense, it still can become a beautiful piece of poetry. Poetry can be spontaneous, even if you do have a topic you need to keep in mind.
What do you like best about being a member of the Garden?
The Challenges, the constant changing of topics and the variety of topics and Nooks. I also love that it keeps my creative juices flowing. I can sometimes go without writing for months just because life gets in the way. The Literary Garden lets me take the time to sit down and write. Of course, sharing my works and reading the works of others is always great. I love exchanging ideas and hearing critiques of my writing.
Do you believe "the pen is mightier than the sword?" Why?
Yes. Having been born and raised in a country that is very familiar with war and political conflict (Israel), I can tell you that in times of war the fact that you scored points or the enemy scored points in an ongoing battle doesn't really do much, even if you are winning, you are not encouraged. It is war. There is nothing encouraging with war. However, I have seen words, articles, songs, speeches during times of war, that have changed the face of the nation. Ones that effected the moral of the military and the people. And ones that helped bring a calm, and peace. Today, it is evident with the peace treaties between Israel, Jordan and Egypt. Less than 50 years ago both Jordan and Egypt were big enemies of Israel (and vice versa). Thanks to the spoken word and the written word, even if it is a diplomatic or political one, we now have peace. We now have an exchange of cultures, a joint work towards total peace in the region, an example and a hope that words of peace will be written and spoken between Israel and the rest of the Arab countries surrounding it one day soon.
If you had the chance to speak on international television and your speech had to be about you, what would you tell the world?
I am just me. I seem very ordinary on the outside, but I am a quirky little thing on the inside. I am a wife, a soon to be mother, an Israeli, an American, a writer, an artist, a warrior, a peace maker, a friend, a geek, a goth at heart. I am a lot of different things. There are many colorful shades to myself, both open to the public and hidden deep inside my soul.
Do you have any pets?
Yes! My husband and I are proud parents of: 5 Cats (Mimi, Gilbert, Whitey, Charlie and Lucy), 5 Rats (Erzabet, Jack, Lucretia, Itchy and Scratchy), 2 Turtles (Petunia and Daisy), 1 Snake (Flame) and many Fish. We intend on getting more fur babies in the future! We love animals.
When life gets you down, who can make you laugh?
My husband, no doubt.
Do you collect anything? If so, care to share?
Tarot Decks and Rosaries.
Can you tell us one thing about yourself that we might find surprising?
I have just turned 25, and I lived through 3 wars already.
What is your favourite thing to do on a rainy day?
If my husband has the day off from work, we love to spend time with the animals, cook and watch movies all day. If my husband is at work, I like to spend time online and do some html work on my website, Yoga, TV and some snuggling with the cats.
Who or what inspires you to write?
I am very influenced by the Gothic Victorian authors of the 18th and 19th centuries (Edgar Allen Poe, Bram Stoker, Mary Shelley, etc). Also, my favorite music and get me in the mood to write, and help inspire me (am a huge European Black and Gothic Metal fan! I love loud metal music!). I also love Medieval European culture, so that always helps inspire settings or events in stories I write.
