Apple Pie

This recipe makes 2 pies

Filling

6 apples (Granny Smith's)
1 2/3 cups sour cream
1 egg
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla
1/3 cup plain flour

Combine filling ingredients and bake in pie shell for 10 minutes at 450°
Reduce heat and bake 35 minutes at 350°

Add topping

Topping

1/3 c brown sugar
1/3 c sugar
1/2 plain flour
pinch salt
1 tbl cinnamon
1 cup crushed walnuts
1/4 cup butter
combine all except butter
cut in butter

Sprinkle on pie and bake 15 min at 350°

let stand 1 hour
